Ayman AlGhamdi Appointed Chief Human Capital Officer at Panda Retail Company

Ayman AlGhamdi has been appointed Chief Human Capital Officer at Panda Retail Company, part of the Savola Group, marking an important leadership move as the organization continues to strengthen its people and leadership capabilities across the region.

In his new role, AlGhamdi will lead Panda Retail’s human capital strategy with a focus on talent development, leadership effectiveness, and workforce transformation. His mandate will support the company’s growth ambitions while ensuring the organization remains agile, well-governed, and future-ready.

Prior to this appointment, AlGhamdi spent more than four years at Saudi Ground Services, where he held the roles of Chief Shared Services Officer and later Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President of HR. During this time, he led HR, IT, procurement, and facilities functions, and played a key role in major restructuring and organizational redesign initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and governance.

Earlier in his career, AlGhamdi held several senior HR leadership roles within the broader Savola ecosystem. These included serving as HR Executive Director for Organization Development and Performance at Savola Group’s Center of Excellence, as well as Executive Director of Human Resources at Cruise Saudi, where he supported complex, multi-country operations.

He began his professional journey at Procter and Gamble, where he held multiple HR leadership roles, and earlier started his career in engineering at SABIC (HADEED). This combination of operational, HR, and engineering experience has shaped his practical and structured approach to leadership.

Beyond his executive responsibilities, AlGhamdi is actively involved in national capability building and governance initiatives. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board Nomination and Remuneration Committee at ASFAR and sits on NRC committees for organizations including Modern Mills Company, Educational Infrastructure Holding Company, Al-Ittihad Club Company, and Jeddah Health Cluster J1. He is also an Advisory Board Member at the University of Prince Mugrin and a member of the Saudi Leadership Society.

His appointment reflects Panda Retail Company’s continued emphasis on strong leadership, people development, and long-term organizational resilience.
