BTS ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour Starts Today

On April 9, 2026, BTS will kick off their sixth world tour, which they’re calling BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG’. They’ll start with three sold-out shows at Goyang Stadium, with more dates on April 11 and 12. This is the first time they’ve done a full tour like this for their Permission to Dance On Stage tour wrapped up in 2022.

All seven members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, finished their required South Korean military service by the middle of 2025. They got back together in the studio and put out their album, ARIRANG, on March 20, 2026. This album really broke records; it was No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for two weeks, something no other K-pop group had ever done. Their main single, “Swim,” started at No. 1 on the Hot 100 before landing at No. 2. To celebrate their return, they held a special live event at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. Fans got to hear the new music for the first time there, which built up a lot of excitement for tonight’s first concert.

Why This BTS Tour Is Different

BIGHIT Music said this tour would be something new, and it definitely is. The stage is designed in a full 360-degree circle, which means fans get to be much closer to the band. This kind of setup allows more people into the venues and makes even huge stadiums feel pretty intimate and shared.

The tour will go to 34 cities in 23 countries, with about 80 shows from April 2026 to March 2027. This makes it the biggest K-pop world tour ever, both in how many shows there are and how many places it covers. Early guesses say the tour could bring in around 2.7 trillion won (that’s about $1.81 billion) just from ticket sales. And that doesn’t even count the billions ARMYs will spend on travel, merchandise, and helping local businesses.

Later in 2026, from October to December, they’ll visit Latin America and other places. This includes Bogotá, Colombia; Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and São Paulo, Brazil in October. Then, in November and December, they’ll be in Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Bangkok, Thailand; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Singapore; and Jakarta, Indonesia.

For the 2027 finale, look out for shows in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, in February, and Hong Kong and Manila, Philippines, in March.

Every single ticket for the opening nights sold out in just a few hours during the ARMY presale and then the general sale back in January. That really shows how much the global fanbase still wants to see them.

What ARMY Can Expect On Stage

Get ready for a mix of new songs from ARIRANG, along with all the old favourites, and, of course, the amazing, high-energy dances that made BTS so famous. Thanks to the 360-degree stage, every spot feels like you’re right up front, no matter where you are in the audience. Plus, they’re setting up live-viewing events in some cities. So, even if you couldn’t get tickets, you can still join in the fun with other fans.

A Tour Built for Every ARMY

Beyond a comeback, it’s a way to celebrate how everyone can come together. BTS has always talked about breaking down walls, and the ARIRANG tour truly brings people from different continents closer. No matter if you’re in Seoul, São Paulo, or Sydney, the core idea is simple: music connects us all. The variety of stadiums they’re playing in really shows just how big and global the ARMY family is, and how they’ve stood by the group every step of the way.

Tonight’s first show in Goyang is much more than just a concert. It really proves that after their military service, their solo work, and all the waiting, BTS is now even stronger and more connected with their fans than ever before. The world tour has officially kicked off, and honestly, this is just the beginning.
